What is the maximum occupancy for FunZone Daytime Sessions?
100 children.
Do children have to wear socks?
Yes, all children MUST wear socks. We also advise long sleeves and full length trousers if children wish to use the slides.
How many highchairs are there in the FunZone?
We have 3 highchairs within the FunZone for you to use.

What is the maximum number of children?
50 children.
What time can we enter the FunZone?
You and one other may gain entry to set up 15 minutes before your party starts.
Can we decorate?
While we do allow you to decorate – Decorations should be free standing. The use of blutac, sellotape and/or glue dots are not allowed. Your deposit will be forfeited.
Do you provide food?
Our parties are self-cater, and we encourage you to bring food to make the party even more special.
Can we order in Pizza, McDonald's, etc?
Yes, we are happy for you to bring in or have fast food delivered to Birchwood Leisure Centre – postcode AL10 0AN.
Are squash and cups provided?
Free squash and cups are provided for your party.
Do you provide party bags or any extras?
We do not provide any party bags or extras.
Do children have to wear socks?
Yes, all children MUST wear socks. We also advise long sleeves and full length trousers if children wish to use the slides.
Can my child go down the Rainbow Slide?
Yes, as long as they are over 5 years of age and wearing full length trousers. Shorts are not permitted.
How many adults can attend a party?
We do not count adults as the majority drop and leave, but if parents wish to stay, they are welcome. Please just be aware that the chairs the parents use are the same chairs the children use at the end of the party when they eat. So, parents might have to stand for the last 40 minutes.
Do we need to bring a knife for the cake?
No – we have a cake cutting knife you can use here.
Can we use candles?
Yes, but not the re-lighting type. Sparklers are not allowed as they may set off the fire alarms.
Does the FunZone have a lighter we can use for candles?
No – we do not keep lighters on site.
How many tables are there in the FunZone?
The FunZone has 8 tables
x4 large (9ft x 1ft 11) – sits 10 children
x1 large (9ft x 1ft 11) – sits 8 children
x3 small (5ft 10 x 1ft 11) – sits 6 children
Can we play our own music?
Yes, if you wish to play your own music, just speak to the member of staff on arrival.
Is the FunZone staffed throughout the party?
Yes, a member of staff is always present. There is also a first-aider within the building.
Can I get hot drinks for parents?
We have the Coffee Kiosk on site where you can purchase hot & cold drinks or set up a tab. Tab to be paid at the end of your party.

What is the maximum number of children?
24 children.
Can I bring more than 24 children to play Laser Tag?
Unfortunately not as we only have 24 phasors.
How many adults can attend a party?
We do not count adults, as the majority drop and leave, but if parents wish to stay, they are welcome. Please just be aware that the chairs the parents use are the same chairs the children use at the end of the party when they eat. So, parents might have to stand for the last 30 minutes.

How do I book?
Simply click book now and it will take you directly to our booking system.
Full payment and deposit will be required to secure your booking.
Where is my booking confirmation?
How old do you have to be to play?
6 – 14 years old.
Does Laser Tag hurt?
Laser Tag is completely safe and is a non-contact activity. There is no physical contact. The laser beams emitted are completely safe. Our staff are trained and will give clear and easy to understand briefing and rules before the game starts.
What happens when we arrive?
When you arrive, the person who made the booking will have to check-in with the FunZone staff. We will go over the rules for the party. Each child that has been invited to the party must be in the FunZone at the start time of the booking. If children arrive late, they may have to wait to be briefed before they can join in.
Weekday bookings are 90 minutes broken down to a mandatory safety briefing of Laser Tag which will inform the children of the rules and how to play, 60 minutes of laser tag games followed by 30 minutes to relax & eat. Weekend bookings are 120 minutes broken down to an initial 20 min warm-up soft play for the children, mandatory safety briefing, 70 minutes of laser tag games, followed by 30 minutes to relax & eat. Each Laser Tag game will be followed by a short break to grab a drink and/or to use the toilets.
Do you have lockers on site?
Yes. The Centre does have lockers for customers use should you wish to use them at your own risk. We cannot take responsibility for any damage, loss or theft of personal items.
What should children wear?
What are the Laser Tag rules?
Laser Tag is a non-contact game.
- No running
- No physical contact
- No lying down
- No foul language
We will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards any members of our staff or customers. You will be asked to leave immediately.
